Tuesday Teaser: Petri

Petri is snug in the hands of the editor and I’m working on a few shorts to promote my favorite sci/fi space boys. I won’t have an estimated publish date on Petri until I get an eye on the edits, but I still have an eye toward spring. Below are two snippets. The first is from Petri, a scene right after Petri and Grokhaar’s first meeting. The second is from the first of the shorts with a much, much younger Grokhaar. Enjoy! Monday Mumbles: Small Presses

By the time this publishes, All Romance eBooks/Omni Lit will have closed their website for good. Many authors will be short-changed on royalties and unlucky readers will lose books they’ve purchased because of little advanced notice during a holiday season and/or server crashes making it impossible to download their library. Some readers will be out monies for preorders they’ll never receive. Most know the details already. Even my spouse, who’s not a big reader and definitely not a reader of romance has heard of this mess.  Continue reading “Monday Mumbles: Small Presses”

Banned Books Week: 2016

I usually keep a better watch on the date so it sneaked up on little cat paws this year. It’s Banned Books Weeks, that week we mock other people’s attempts to dictate morality celebrate the freedom to read whatever the fuck we want. There’s a list of the most challenged books of the prior year (or decade, or all time), generally via a school board or library. Below are links and lists and opinion and all that rot. Stop here if you want to avoid all that foolishness. Continue reading “Banned Books Week: 2016”

Petri Update: Summer Edition

It’s been several busy months since I’ve posted an update to my favorite space couple. Most of the new material needed to flesh out the front end of the novel is now complete and I can work towards weaving in existing material. This process has been slower than I’d like, but I confess to enjoying the summer weather (and new book releases) a bit too much to have proper motivation. All in all, here’s the lowdown on progress: Continue reading “Petri Update: Summer Edition”

ReRelease: The Fox’s Mate

Look at that new cover. Isn’t it shiny?

In 2011, I wrote a serialized historical romance called Emeralds and Ice. The main leads, a nobleman and a poor orphan, met and fell in love amidst danger and mystery and misunderstandings.Together, they vanquished the bad guy and ran off into the sunset to live happily ever after. Their names were Draike Weatherby and Olivia Lawrence. Three years after writing that story, I dragged it into the modern era, threw in some shifters and vampires, renamed it The Fox’s Mate, and published it through a small press. Last week, rights in hand, I rereleased it as an Amazon exclusive to experiment with Kindle Unlimited. Continue reading “ReRelease: The Fox’s Mate”
